For the Family

April 25, 2011 by Rebecca Whitely

Mill Pond Park is located less than a mile from historic Downtown San Saba and is a place you can entertain the whole family.  The year round falls are a beautiful setting for a picnic or photo op, and the landscape is alive year round as well with bright flowers of all varieties.

There is a natural spring that flows through the park and the pond itself is home to the famous San Saba water fowl that consider Mill Pond their home. A walking path around the Mill Pond is a great place to exercise and in certain seasons you can rent kayaks to enjoy the park while on the water.

In Mill Pond Park you will also find a large open air pavilion available for rent, across from which is the location of our Historic Museum.

We are very proud of our park and keep it clean for our community and visitors. Please stop through on your next visit to San Saba!
